Description
“ We will take time to meet the artists, inventors, writers, and humanitarians who contributed toward the “soul” of mankind over the last three centuries. And, we will join the missionaries and adventurers who journeyed to inland China, the wilds of Africa, the South Pole, and the gray, speckled surface of the moon.” Linda Lacour Hobar
The Student Reader contains 84 stirring lessons in a colorful, easy-to-hold hardback. The Reader is a stand-alone world history text for all ages to enjoy. But for those who wish to delve deeper, we have included a download code in each book for a digital version of The Mystery of History Volume IV Companion Guide. The reproducible resources of the Companion Guide, written also by Linda Lacour Hobar, contain familiar and popular components of The Mystery of History series: pretests, hands-on activities and research projects for younger, middle, and older students, Memory Card ideas, bi-weekly quizzes and exercises, timeline helps, maps, supplemental book lists, and more.
Please note that The Mystery of History Volume IV is not on the same reading level as The Mystery of History Volume I. The Mystery of History Volume IV is best suited for children in 6th grade and up. Younger siblings can tag along for the history lessons, but the reading level and emotional intensity of The Mystery of History Volume IV will be challenging for them. Expect to make modifications to help children younger than sixth grade grasp the material.
